WHAT IS MICRODERMABRASION
One
of the most popular cosmetic skin care treatments available is
Microdermabrasion ( also known as Microderm ) Microderm is
a procedure that is praised by women and men alike. No chemicals are used in the procedure, which is simple and
pain-free. It's appropriate for most skin types because it is
non-invasive.
Your
skin is exposed to so much in just a single day and over the years,
the sun's rays, pollution, sweat, dirt, makeup, hormones and many
other things can take a toll on your skin. Microderm can help reduce
or eliminate wrinkles / fine lines, age spots, acne scars, uneven
skin tone, and pigmentation that occurs from sun / age / pregnancy
that may appear over time. Microderm brightens tired, sluggish skin
as well as shrinks pores and helps clear acne. After just one
treatment, your skin will look brighter, feel softer and look
healthier.
How Does Microdermabrasion Work . .
Dead skin cells are exfoliated and vacuumed off the face with a machine that uses tips covered in tiny diamonds. The diamond tips—together with the strong suction—make it possible to exfoliate the skin more thoroughly than other procedures. With the flexibility of using different suction levels, it also increases blood flow to the skin, and that in turn helps to produce collagen.
It is recommended that a Microderm treatment be done at least monthly. A single treatment every week will produce faster results. It is not recommended to have a treatment done more than once per week.
Microdermabrasion For Men . .
Microderm has the same wonderful effects for men as it does for women, but an added bonus : Microderm reduces and can even eliminate ingrown hairs from shaving. Because men shave regularly, they need proper skin care. Irritations and ingrown hairs are clear signs of an added stress to their skin. The skin damage is caused by the shaving itself, as well as by before and after shaving products. Having regular Microderm treatments will help exfoliate the dead skin cells and clear hair follicles, allowing hair to surface.
Microdermabrasion During Pregnancy . .
The hormonal changes in a woman during pregnancy can cause several skin problems to emerge: Excess hormones can make the skin look really dull. A pregnant woman can also suffer from a skin disorder called melasma or pigmentation, where she develops hormonally- charged brown spots on the cheeks, forehead and around the mouth and eyes. Increased oil production can lead to excessive breakouts in some pregnant woman, as well. Microderm is perfectly safe for pregnant women.
Microdermabrasion For Teens . .

Because of hormone changes in early years, Microderm is not recommended for children under the age of 16. A wonderful alternative for those under 16 is a Facial. For those over 16, Microderm is fantastic with combating teenage acne and helping keep skin clean and pores clear. It is recommended that Teens have a Microderm treatment only once a month.
